We’re excited to be back and celebrating five years of the Pitaw Mino Muskiki Winter Market, returning December 4–6, 2026. Since beginning in 2022, this annual gathering has grown into a vibrant winter tradition for Indigenous artists, makers, and community.
Over the past five years, the Winter Market has become a space filled with warmth, creativity, and connection during the coldest season. It brings together Indigenous makers from across the community to share their work, stories, and beautifully crafted goods, including beadwork, jewellery, art, and meaningful gifts rooted in culture and contemporary Indigenous expression.
As the market continues to grow, it stays grounded in its original purpose: to create consistent opportunities for Indigenous artists to be seen, supported, and celebrated. Each year reflects the strength of community, the importance of Indigenous-led spaces, and the joy of gathering together in a way that supports culture, creativity, and connection.
Hosting our market at Via Rail Union Station holds deep significance. Located at The Forks, where the Red and Assiniboine rivers meet, this land has served as a sacred gathering place for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples for over 6,000 years. Gathering inside Union Station honours this long-standing legacy of trade, travel, and community connection, bringing people together at a historic crossroads to celebrate Indigenous artistry and culture.
