We are excited to join and curate a special Pitaw Mino Muskiki Indigenous Handmade Markets pop-up within the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market on June 20, 2026, in honour of Indigenous Peoples Day. This meaningful collaboration brings together Indigenous artists and makers within one of Winnipeg’s most established and beloved community markets, creating space for cultural celebration, visibility, and connection. Visitors can expect a vibrant selection of Indigenous handmade goods, including beadwork, jewellery, art, and other handcrafted items, alongside the full experience of the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market. This partnership highlights community, collaboration, and the importance of supporting Indigenous creativity within shared market spaces.

Mini Pop-Up at Princess Auto Stadium with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for Canada Day

Pitaw Mino Muskiki Indigenous Handmade Markets mini pop-up returns for its third year on July 1, 2026 at Princess Auto Stadium in partnership with the Winnipeg Football Club.

This activation continues our commitment to reclaiming Canada Day through an Indigenous lens, creating intentional space for reflection, truth, and visibility on a day that holds complex and painful histories for many Indigenous peoples. Rather than centering celebration alone, this market offers an opportunity to gather, to honour lived experience, and to create space for Indigenous presence, voice, and storytelling within a major public setting.

We believe it is important to be present in these spaces because visibility matters. This activation is also about creating partnerships and opportunities to showcase Indigenous artists, makers, and entrepreneurs in high-traffic community environments where their work can be seen, supported, and valued. These kinds of collaborations help strengthen pathways for Indigenous creativity, economic opportunity, and cultural expression.

Visitors can expect a curated selection of Indigenous handmade goods including beadwork, jewellery, art, and contemporary Indigenous creations from local makers and entrepreneurs. This ongoing partnership reflects a growing commitment to Indigenous-led markets that do not just participate in Canada Day, but actively reshape what it can mean.

December 4–6, 2026 5th Annual Pitaw Mino Muskiki Winter Market

We’re excited to be back and celebrating five years of the Pitaw Mino Muskiki Winter Market, returning December 4–6, 2026. Since beginning in 2022, this annual gathering has grown into a vibrant winter tradition for Indigenous artists, makers, and community.

Over the past five years, the Winter Market has become a space filled with warmth, creativity, and connection during the coldest season. It brings together Indigenous makers from across the community to share their work, stories, and beautifully crafted goods, including beadwork, jewellery, art, and meaningful gifts rooted in culture and contemporary Indigenous expression.

As the market continues to grow, it stays grounded in its original purpose: to create consistent opportunities for Indigenous artists to be seen, supported, and celebrated. Each year reflects the strength of community, the importance of Indigenous-led spaces, and the joy of gathering together in a way that supports culture, creativity, and connection.
